Sana Mantell
Creative Director and President
I have been a graphic designer for sixteen years. As I
write this I am honestly amazed by the amount of time that I have been creating visual
communications. I graduated Rhode Island School of Design in 1993 and went straight to
work, starting as a freelancer and moving on to a full time position as an art director
at companies such as The Conference Board, UBS, TIAA-CREF, and KPMG. In 2009, I decided
to strike out on my own, in the height of the country's greatest financial crisis since
the Great Depression. I suppose that means that I am a risk taker. Along the way I have
discovered a new passion, photography. My hobby has taken on a life of its own, with me
implementing it into my work, and displaying it all over my house to the sometimes joy
and chagrin of my husband.
I view my work as a partnership and a collaborative effort
between myself and my client. My goal is to achieve the most effective visual communication
possible. I consider all aspects of the design process to be important, starting with the
finished product and working our way "backwards" through the initial conceptual stage.
Working together through a process of understanding your business and my role in creating
a visual "tool", we will create a comprehensive visual identity and presence for your company.
Of course good design is not about the designer, or even the
client, but about the end user.
My goal is to always maintain the audience in the forefront
of our thoughts. While discussing a new project I will always ask about this all important
"unseen" client. Since he or she is ultimately the person we are trying to entice with the
final visual communication.
